As the product design director for A.I. technology at Huge, I was tasked to grow and manage a small cross-functional team of designers and developers with the goal of designing products using machine learning technologies. This effort enabled us to build our internal capabilities so we could better serve our clients.

Unbiased hiring product
The problem: With resumes coming in at high rates daily, it can be easy to look for specific flags to move from the pile of no's to the pile of maybe's. Despite best efforts this can result in "like" hires.
Inspired by the New York Philharmonic's blind auditions, this product tackles unconscious bias by scrubbing applicants applications of potentially biased information and presents "just the facts". This way applicants can be presented on the same footing.
Connected people and Places
The problem: We grow on average 30% a year, we have new hires every week. We wanted to make it easier for them to get acclimated and comfortable as soon as possible.
This product helps our staff find contact information of co-workers and way-finding in our office's all through conversational interfaces.
Inclusive team builder
The Problem: Teams tend to be designed based on what's worked in the past, but that can be limiting to new hires and doesn't consider what people want to work on.
Through multiple surveys and additional product building, we are able to design a process of designing a team based on what people have worked on, what's worked, but also considering what people want to work on. My hope for this process is to allow us to tap into the full potential of our full staff.

With a cross-disciplinary team, we build a flexible data model that is accessible through an API, so anyone at huge can build an interface into the data.
