Discovery
Working with a research and our designers, we ran interviews with creators and enterprise department heads to understand what they want to achieve and how they want to achieve it. In addition, we aligned with the content creation leads, and our product marketing team to learn about how to provide jump starts and use AI to streamline processes.
Personas were used from our existing research, and a competitive/comparative landscape was created to understand where we stood.
Exploration & experimentation
With an understanding of the business need, and the opportunity to communicate directly with users, we explored an initial set of widely divergent ideas.
We worked with the machine learning team to create “aha” moments by automating processes like removing dead air, auto closed captions, and transcript editing tools. The goal of these experiments was to learn if people would feel helped by these tools or feel their creative control was removed. We quickly revealed our enterprise users felt these tools improved their output and made their videos feel more professional.
